Peanut is an app that connects like-minded women at various stages of their pregnancy, including those just starting to think about conception! The app is designed to give women a network which they can use to expel feelings of isolation or loneliness that can be experienced through any stage of pregnancy and beyond.
Peanut provides a safe space for mothers, expectant mothers and those trying to conceive to build friendships, ask questions and find support. The network introduces you to women nearby who are at a similar stage in life, providing access to a community of women who are there to listen, share information and offer valuable advice.
Whether it’s understanding IVF, adoption, pregnancy, first years or nursery and beyond, Peanut is a place to connect with women like you.
As of January 2019, Peanut has amassed an incredible 500k users, 10m messages and 100m profile views, and in 2017, the app was awarded the title of Best Apps of 2017 Featured by Apple, a great achievement!

Michelle Kennedy is the CEO and Founder of Peanut. She launched Peanut in 2017 to solve a need she had experienced as a new mom: isolation. When Michelle had her first child, she struggled to meet like-minded women and found herself trawling out-dated blogs for advice in the early hours.
For Michelle, Peanut is about recognizing a pain point millions of women encounter and providing access to community when they need it most. Her mission is to reduce feelings of isolation and empower women to connect, all over the world.
Having worked in the dating app industry for five years, Michelle has unprecedented experience and understanding of the safety and growth elements of building a social product.
