The Exploration Company is a B2B and B2G aerospace company which creates space capsules that fly to space stations around the Earth and the Moon and safely come back to Earth. Started in 2021 by former Airbus experienced engineers having served on European most complex programs, among which Hélène Huby, the French-German company aims at democratizing the space exploration.
The modular spaceships created by the company are reusable and serve the logistic needs of the space stations. The company starts by sending cargos to the space stations and aims at making human space travel possible afterwards. "We can enable nations, space & non-space industries and individuals to participate in and contribute to the building of the new space world", said Helene Huby.
About the founders/CEO:
Helene Huby is the CEO & Co-founder of The Exploration Company. She had served several years as an executive at Airbus, has co-founded and chair the non-profit foundation Karman Project, and has founded and chairs the deep tech investment company Urania Ventures. She has a master’s degree from Ecole Normale Supérieure in Economics and Applied Mathematics and an MPA from ENA.
Jon Reijneveld is the Chief Engineer & Co-Founder of The Exploration Company. He was the deputy chief engineer of the Orion-ESM program when Helene was the VP of the Orion-ESM program. He was System Engineer of the first laser communication system: EDRS. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Delft University of Technology.
Artur Koop is the COO & Co-founder of The Exploration Company. He was the Lead for Propulsion of the Orion-ESM program when Helene was the VP of the Orion-ESM program. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
