Channable Announces New Hire Mathieu Verger as Chief Financial Officer

January 31st, 2023

Verger will build out the finance team with a focus on innovation investments, potential M&A opportunities, and future growth.

Utrecht, The Netherlands – February 2, 2022 – Channable, a global, all-in-one eCommerce growth platform for digital marketers, brands, and online retailers, announces Mathieu Verger as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Channable is on a mission to empower eCommerce companies to grow their online business. In 2023, the company will focus on innovation investments and explore M&A possibilities to strengthen the product offering and its customer impact. Onboarding an experienced CFO like Verger will help Channable effectively deploy its recently announced €55M Series B funding, build out a strong finance team to support future growth, and streamline professional processes.

“I am delighted to join Channable and play a role in its mission to empower marketers to take control of their online strategy. Ecommerce is evolving at unprecedented speed; Channable creates fantastic opportunities for brands, retailers, and our partners ecosystem to effectively market their products, increase visibility, and ultimately grow their business across thousands of digital channels and marketplaces,” said Verger. “Channable is uniquely positioned to lead this transition, and I look forward to partnering with this great team and building upon their outstanding track record of execution and value creation.”

Verger previously served as Finance Director of the EMEA region at Sonos, Inc., where he led the European go-to-market finance team. He joined the company in December 2018, four months post-IPO, to drive growth and market expansion. During his tenure, Verger supported the launch of Sonos Radio HD and Sonos’s first co-branding partnerships with IKEA® and Audi®. He also contributed to the acquisition and integration of Snips as well as Sonos’ first subscription offering Sonos Flex.

Prior to his work with Sonos, Inc., Verger was Senior Director of the Finance Transformation Program at Philips, a medical technology company based in Amsterdam. He was also Head of Accounting Operations at Signify, a subsidiary of Philips, where he led a team of 480 accounting professionals that prepared and executed on its 2016 IPO. He holds a master’s degree in Finance & Control from Maastricht University.

“We are excited to welcome Mathieu as our CFO,” said Rob Van Nuenen, Co-Founder and CEO of Channable. “Mathieu’s extensive financial, operational and strategic experience make him a great fit for his new role. With Mathieu, we are confident we onboarded a huge asset to Channable as we continue to grow our business.”
