About the founders/CEO:
Commsignia was founded by Jozsef Kovacs, Laszlo Virag and Andras Takacs; the CEO is Szabi Patay.
Szabi has several years of experience in automotive business development and international automotive project execution in the field of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication. As CEO, he is responsible for the management and growth of Commsignia. He has been with the company since day one, building the business development and service delivery teams from the ground up. Prior to joining Commsignia, he worked in the financial services industry in management consulting and international IT projects.
Laszlo has more than 15 years of experience in the field of cooperative vehicle communication and its applications. He gained significant experience in this field at the Institute of Computer Science and Control of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where he worked on automotive communication protocols and participated in several prototype projects related to vehicle communication. After his previous roles as CTO and CEO, he has been responsible for the strategic leadership, investor relations and shaping the vision of the company since 2023 as Executive President & Chief Technology Officer.
Andras is an automotive technology expert with a distinct embedded software engineering and computer networking background. He is an active contributor to global standardization (IEEE, ISO, ETSI, CEN) processes. He is the Chief Engineer at Commsignia.
Jozsef was a graduate of Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Throughout his professional career he gained significant expertise in connected car technologies and vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2X) communication, and also has extensive experience in product development and project management. Prior to taking over the CEO role at Commsignia, Jozsef led embedded development and mobility related R&D activities at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Jozsef passed away late 2021, his legacy in building up Commsignia lives on.
