About the founders/CEO:
Getsafe became what it is today due to two coincidences: Christian Wiens, mechanical engineer by training and now CEO of Getsafe, broke his landlord’s glass door and realized how complicated insurance was. Meanwhile, Marius Simon, physicist and now Getsafe's CTO, started a Facebook group and invited similarly ambitious entrepreneurs to exchange ideas – Christian was the only one who showed up.
Christian Wiens graduated from Technische Universitat Darmstadt with a Masters in Mechanical and Process Engineering, before co-founding Gourmeo, a restaurant reservation platform, which he successfully sold to the Müller Media Group.
Marius Simon graduated from Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg with a Masters in Physics. He then co-founded Peakdrive, before founding Getsafe in 2015.
