Alan, the French HealthTech startup, has succeeded in raising $54.4 million dollars in a Series C funding round led by Temasek and participated in by various existing investors (such as Index Ventures). This round brings Alan's total raised over four years to $136 million, which allows them to further their mission to become the all-encompassing health app that is the first port of call for everything health-related.
Alan is the first digital health insurance company in France. They focus heavily on improving user experience while providing an excellent price-quality ratio health plan. The app prides itself on being easy and convenient to use, with all forms of tracking, including that of quotes, invoices and reimbursement being available via the app. As well as offering services such as face-to-face telephone calls with a GP, Alan provides access to a doctor's surgery location service, called Alan Map. The user can find their closest surgery with this feature, making the process of being treated much easier.
What's more, through its partnership with Livi, Alan has made its telemedicine appointments 100% free, due to the situation that the coronavirus has brought about.
With this round, Alan aims to expand, moving further towards its goal of becoming available throughout Europe within five years.
