Alkemics, an intuitive platform that helps retailers and brands manage, collaborate and share product data in one single secured place, has raised €21M in a Series C funding round joined by Highland Europe, Cathay Innovation, Index Ventures, SEB Alliance and Serena Capital. The ever-changing consumer climate has seen a soaring demand from grocers and suppliers responding to the rapid shift to omnichannel shopping, with analysts now expecting the online grocery market to grow by an impressive 25% in 2020, having seen sales leap by 30% during April.
Alkemics' platform has digitized the different stages of supplier-retailer relations, and is facilitating the connection between retailers such as Tesco and Intermarche to multinational suppliers such as Nestle, as well as small local producers.
“Our aim is to make B2B businessquick, easy and interactive. Any manufacturer should be able to put a producton the market as easily as if they were posting a message on a social network,and any store should be able to find the products that consumers are lookingfor by simply searching through an app” explained Antoine Durieux, Co-founder and CEO of Alkemics. “The Alkemics platform is helping thousandsof suppliers and retailers across Europe to work closely together, to simplifytheir collaboration, to speed up products go-to-market and to ensure thatproduct data is always as transparent and up to date as possible”.
