Partech announces two promotions in its Seed team

Partech announces two promotions in its Seed team

September 21st, 2020

Partech is pleased to announce the promotion of two members of its Seed Fund team: Alison Imbert and Finn Weise

Promotion to Principal

Alison has joined Partech in June 2018 to manage the Paris Saclay Seed Fund, as part of a dedicated 10-people investment team managing the $300M that Partech Seed is investing in leading seed-stage tech companies across Europe, America and Asia. Before joining Partech, Alison had been a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger for 4 years where she conducted various projects, from private equity deals to big data & data infrastructure projects. She holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and studied Data Science at Ecole Polytechnique.

Alison has demonstrated her ability to identify exceptional founders early on and partner with them from pre-product and pre-revenue stage to later stages. She has notably led the investments in Ambler, Epsor, Joko, Lalilo, Energysquare and 77foods seed rounds, and serves on the board of 11 startups of the Paris-Saclay Seed Fund portfolio. To date, the Fund has 18 companies in its portfolio, out of which a remarkable 85% have already successfully raised their Series A.

Romain Lavault, General Partner, comments:

“Alison embodies one of the defining characteristics that we are also looking in founders: passion. She is dedicated to the founders from her portfolio, and always available to support them.  Partech is proud to have seen her quickly establish herself a reference partner to the founders in the French ecosystem. Her natural energy and tenacity are beneficial not only to the founders but to all of us working with her on a daily basis.”

Promotion to Associate

Finn Weise has been Analyst at Partech since September 2018, specializing in Seed investments. Finn’s previous experience includes operational finance at Amazon in Munich. Before that, he spent some time with Global Founders Capital in Berlin and the Investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Frankfurt. He graduated from Technical University of Munich – TUM – for a Master's degree combining Finance and Computer Science.

Finn Weise has been promoted to Associate.

“Finn has been instrumental in representing Partech in Berlin and in proactively connecting with Founders throughout the DACH region. We are happy to see his role growing at Partech and look forward to many more investments in the DACH region, as well as Nordics and CEE” said Romain Lavault, General Partner at Partech.
